So, as Thanksgiving and Black Friday approach I am definitely trying to budget my little bits of money to buy some of my much wanted items. One is an MP3 player that I can use for workouts. K-Mart has one going for $12 on Thanksgiving Day! Walmart has a 4GB for $20 on Black Friday! I can't do the iPod right now; just not in the student budget lol. Another must have off-brand is the Free Country Fleece Jacket. Cute, durable and warm like the North Face Fleece, these will be going for $19.99 on Black Friday so I definitely have to snatch those up! Another must have are combat boots, going for $29.99 at gojane.com and black platform booties going for $40 at Charlotte Russe, who is having shoes buy one get one $10 in stores or $15 online! Well, if you add those up for me that ends up being about $150 (I am getting two jackets :) ) total for tons of stuff. Can't wait.

Starting Over
Now, done with babbling I am going to focus on this philosophy paper. It is on Aristotle and how his definition of virtue is flawed and lacking in complexity. Though I am not a huge philosophy fan, I have enjoyed this class, the history of philosophy A LOT. I've been able to learn about Plato, Socrates, Aristotle, the Sophists, the Stoics (which I DID NOT LIKE) and now medieval philosophers. Let's see how this paper goes? I don't have much of a focus since it's day one back at it, but hopefully I will have many many MANY more focused entries once I start blogging everyday, and we all know that with everyday life there's always that one thing that just makes you say, "seriously?".

The Balloon
Now it's really been a long time! But I am finally back. After a couple of months away and a tough start to the new year, things are finally falling back into synch. I feel like I am truly beginning to find myself and am trying to find new ways to better myself. The first was to catch up on school work; which I did this weekend. The second is to start doing more about things I care about, so I am starting a club called Do Something...NOW! It's an issues awareness club that does monthly activities/fundraisers with the goal of raising awareness about both global and domestic issues. I am so excited about it and hope everything falls into place! So why the balloon? Well today, I lost a balloon I got for a friends birthday and it led to a facebook status that led to discussions on life lessons. I guess you could say it got me thinking and I honestly do believe the old saying, "if you love something you've got to let it go...and if it comes back then it means so much more" Well, right now in my personal relationships I believe I am in the letting go stage, and I don't think it has come back, but if it does it will be better than ever. But is it wrong for me to lack the faith? xoxo

Working on You

I will leave you with a few words …
"Staring in the mirror/wondering, where did I go? / got lost in the sea of yes, and couldn't say no…. /the person in the mirror said/get out and find yourself, because you won't find it here in me".
Peace and Love,

My First Day as a Blogger!
So, today is officially my first day as a blogger. Just to tell a little about myself. First off, I want to start by saying that I go by Sunshine. I am a 19 year-old community college student. I plan on being an anesthesiologist in the future, while being able to dab into different fields of knowledge as well. I am interested in learning more about art, music, and other people's P.O.V. I will be blogging mainly about my days at school and what I hope for the future; pretty much, my track to success. I also enjoy entertainment news and discussing beauty and hair care for young African-American femalesJ. I will try to blog daily and I hope I gain some sort of following! Peace and Love, *Sunshine*
